Dawn Thompson has an extensive marketing background in the ophthalmic field and brings more than 20 years of experience to Sandbox. During her career at Alcon, she successfully established the importance of practice development for several new surgical technologies in the United States. Most notably, she was instrumental in the success of the consumer and patient-awareness initiatives for the AcrySof ReSTOR IOL. On the creation of Sandbox, Ms. Thompson said, “I am so excited to launch this company. Amy Jacobs brings more than 15 years of ophthalmic marketing experience to the organization. Ms. Jacobs also began her career at Alcon. She later joined eyeonics, Inc. and was an integral part of their successful Crystalens product that was acquired by Bausch & Lomb. Ms. Jacobs brings a global marketing background that is well-rounded in communications, consumer education, and KOL development. “Sandbox offers strategic thinking and focused marketing solutions as a valuable resource to extremely busy brand managers of every organization," Ms. Jacobs said.
